Herd Protected
Cracked concrete, stained slabs, and peeling epoxy send the wrong message to your clients and your crew. Here is what a Herd floor does instead:
The System
Every commercial job gets the same two-part system. It is the part most facility managers do not see, but it is the part that decides whether your floor stands tough under real commercial load.
Layer 01
It bonds directly to your prepped slab and flexes with the concrete as Houston soil moves under your facility. Twenty times more flexible than epoxy. No flaking. No peeling. No do-over in two years.
Layer 02
UV stable, so the floor will not yellow under facility lighting or sunlight. Chemical resistant, so spills wipe up instead of staining in. Cures fast, so most installs are done in as little as one day with minimal disruption to your operation.
What You Get With Herd
Bare, stained concrete tells clients and employees you stopped caring. A coated floor tells them something different. Same square footage. Completely different impression. Owners consistently say it is the best-looking improvement their facility has made in years.
Chemical spills wipe up. Grease, oil, and fluids do not soak in. Herd commercial concrete coatings seal the surface completely, so your crew spends less time cleaning and more time on what matters.
Texture is built into the coating, not stuck on top. You pick the level of grip you want. Standard, extra, or pool-deck spec.
Whatever your slab looks like today, the prep process fills the small stuff before the coating ever goes down. A floor that was rough and busted comes out smooth, clean, and consistent.
Heat. Humidity. Heavy equipment. UV. Your commercial polyurea coating was engineered for exactly this environment. Not adapted to it. Built for it.
Epoxy
Rigid
Epoxy Cannot Flex
Houston soil swells and shrinks with every season. Rigid epoxy cracks telegraph straight through the finish.
Yellows
Epoxy Fades in Sun
Texas sun breaks epoxy down. The yellowing starts faster than most facility managers expect.
Peels
Epoxy Loses Its Bond
Heavy equipment, pallet jacks, and constant foot traffic expose weak coatings fast. Delamination is the number one failure mode on commercial epoxy floors.
Herd System
20x Flex
Polyurea Moves With It
Twenty times more flexible than epoxy. Bonds to your slab and flexes as the concrete moves under Houston's shifting soil.
UV Stable
Color Holds for Life
Polyaspartic topcoat is UV stable. Your floor will not yellow, fade, or dull, no matter how much Texas sun it takes.
Bonded for Life
Stays Put. Always.
Diamond ground prep plus polyurea chemistry creates a mechanical bond that holds under real commercial load. Heavy equipment is not a problem.
Why Herd
The crew coating your floor lives in the same neighborhoods you do. Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, and the rest. No franchise script, no 1-800 number routed out of state. You are hiring neighbors who stand behind the work long after the truck pulls away.
A lot of coatings companies learn on your facility. Herd does not. We launched with the backing of an industry-leading operation and hundreds of installs behind us. Every product, prep step, and spec was field-tested on real Texas jobs before our first truck rolled out.
Your floor gets the top polyurea and polyaspartic system in the industry, not the cheap epoxy competitors push. Then we stand behind it with a 5-year commercial warranty, in writing. If anything ever goes wrong, we answer the call and come make it right.
The Process
If you are picturing weeks of disruption and a floor that shuts down your operation, this is not that. Here is exactly how it happens, start to finish.
Step 01
Free. Fast. No pressure. Every quote happens in person at your facility. That is the only way to give you a real number on your specific floor. You walk us through what you want. We measure the space, check the slab, and answer every question you have.
Step 02
Pick a day that works for your operation. We confirm the crew and the plan. On install day, the crew arrives early. The work area gets prepped. Your floor gets diamond ground down to clean, profiled concrete. Cracks and pits get filled and smoothed.
Step 03
Polyurea base. Polyaspartic topcoat. Color flake. The base bonds directly to your slab. Color flake gets broadcast into the wet base while the floor comes together. Once it cures, the topcoat seals everything in.
Step 04
Walk on it in 12 hours. Resume normal operations within 36. Most commercial floors go down in a single day, so your facility is back up and running on a brand new floor before the downtime costs you.
